Three things this will not trade away.
The paint reaches the print
A painted export is only worth anything if the slicer honours it. PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 opens ours and the paint arrives in G-code as tool changes in the right order — checked automatically, and checked as order rather than count, because a file whose paint was dropped can still produce a plausible count.
The compatibility matrix says which slicers this is true of and which it is not yet. It is not all of them.
It opens with the network unplugged
Not a mode, not a grace period — there is nothing to check. No account, no licence server, no telemetry. The desktop build never opens a socket, and the browser build does the geometry in your tab.
For a model that is a client's paid commission, this is the reason to pick us.
Your file survives being saved
A desktop save writes beside your file, flushes it, reads it back to verify, keeps one backup, and only then renames it into place. Your existing file is never touched until a verified replacement exists.
Autosave runs on its own and offers to restore after a crash — only ever into an empty document, so it cannot overwrite work you already started.
Fast enough to stop thinking about.
Measured by a benchmark suite that regenerates these files itself, on a mid-range desktop machine, and cited on the docs page with the model each number was taken on. Nothing here is typed in by hand.

Frame rate while orbiting is deliberately absent from that table rather than rounded up: it has not been measured on hardware we trust, and a number nobody took is not a number.

What it does not do yet.
Six of the tools this category expects are built. Sculpting, supports, moulds, curve cuts, articulated joints and rendering are not. There is no sign-in, no auto-update and no translation. The Windows and macOS builds are published and have never been launched by anyone.
